CONCORD, Mass., October 24, 2023 -  Sakon, the leading platform and services provider for understanding, managing, and transforming enterprise communications, has earned high honors at the Jombay 1000 Women Leaders Program. Of the 1000 women leaders in the program, four Sakon executives were selected to be finalists in the “Top 10% Club.” Jombay builds managers and leaders for today’s fast-changing world of work and is well-known for its talent interventions with Fortune 500 enterprises.

The Jombay 1000 Women Leaders Program – part of a list of programs that help individuals build critical capabilities and fast-track their careers – happens over several months and involves presentations and mentoring from highly acclaimed women speakers from all industries, including tech companies such as Cisco and Akamai. It also features five master classes and peer networking and breakout sessions. This year’s program focuses on two stages of career development – women with less than fifteen years of experience and those with greater than sixteen years of experience.

As part of Sakon’s commitment to further developing its Women in Technology (WIT) initiative, the company delegated fifteen of its top performing women from across all disciplines to the Jombay program in July, 2023. The program takes significant dedication and effort, and the time invested by Sakon’s women demonstrated their determination to succeed. The Sakon leaders who achieved finalist status this month (Cleta Lobo, Jalaja Sandesh, Prajacta Sathaye, and Pranali Karemore) did so by embodying Sakon’s industry-leading philosophy of empowering women in the workplace of the future.

“This program produces fantastic outcomes,” noted Emine Bolohan, Sakon’s Senior Vice President of Global Strategic Account Management and ambassador for the company’s WIT initiative. “It does so by focusing on the unique positive strengths that women bring to their roles versus so many other programs that focus on the negatives (such as lack of confidence or imposter syndrome). I’m excited that Sakon will continue to invest in developing our women through programs like this. By so doing, we’ll continue to help blaze new ways forward for enterprises across the world.”

“At Sakon, we talk a lot about taking initiative on behalf of our clients,” added Sakon CEO Andy Goorno. “Well, here’s one powerful demonstration of that. Year after year, global enterprises turn to Sakon for a uniquely empathetic, creative, and agile service approach fostered by Sakon’s women leaders. This year’s Jombay finalists make us all proud and we wish them all the best on this amazing journey.”

Sakon, recognized as a visionary provider by Gartner, the Association of Telecom Management Professionals (AOTMP), and some of the largest customers in the world, relies on its women leaders to drive best practices in delivering innovation and the highest quality service delivery on behalf of its growing list of brand name clients. Sakon women are uniquely adept at managing today’s shifting device and telecom service demands and play a significant role in the success of Sakon’s Device Platform and Telecom Platform.
